Benefitting the Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville, DLH Designs
holds an annual holiday bazaar each November. This year’s holiday bazaar took
place on Nov. 20, 2016, and was a huge success. Employees of DLH Designs begin
preparing for the bazaar a year in advance, making items to sell, such as
sewing, painting, and craft items. Even if supporters cannot make it to the
actual event, usually held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., donations through person,
mail, or even online, is always highly encouraged. Rita Ralston, Executive
Director, mentioned that “folks have become wonderful supporters of the house
and the event and if they can’t make it then they donate and it’s just become a
wonderful thing for us.”
Some items usually sold at this event are Christmas
trees and wreaths to decorate for the holiday season, sweaters, jewelry,
ceramic plates, ornaments, and many more crafty items. Members near and far
love attending this holiday bazaar to make a difference for the Ronald McDonald
House of Charlottesville, ultimately remembering that a little change can
change a lot. Annual Holiday Bazaar
